Omega 3 Fish Oil

A recent study by Fernando Gómez-Pinilla of UCLA’s Brain Research Institute and Brain Injury Research Center has found that Omega 3 fatty acids provide many benefits for mental health that include improving learning and memory. The study also found that Omega 3 can help people with depression and mood disorders, schizophrenia, and dementia. It is essential that people have enough omega 3 fatty acid to sustain normal brain function.

The Gomez-Pinilla study is the latest in a series of studies that show the benefits of Omega 3. In November 2007, Frederic Calon and Francesca Cicchetti of Université Laval found that omega 3 fatty acids help to protect the brain against Parkinson ’s disease. In October 2006, The Karolinska Institutet (KI) in Sweden found that Omega 3 can slow down the early stages of Alzheimer's disease. In March 2008, The Mayo Clinic published an article on the numerous findings that Omega 3 provides cardiovascular benefits for a healthy heart.
